uploaded, no account is needed, and the answer does not depend on trusting whoever produced
it. Written independently from spec/evidence-format.md; the
verify.py that ships inside every bundle is the other implementation, and the
test suite holds the two to identical verdicts.

A pass means no entry present has been altered or reordered, no file in the bundle was edited, and every entry sits where it claims in a tree the producer signed. A redacted entry means content was erased under a retention or erasure request: its position and hash are still proven, and the erasure itself is authorised by another entry in the same record.
It does not mean the record is complete. A producer chooses which entries go into a pack, and only the entries present can be checked. Without a key obtained somewhere other than the bundle it does not establish origin either — a self-consistent pack proves that it is self-consistent. Paste the issuer key to check origin, and a witness key to get any statement at all about completeness.
